The European Photon and Neutron (EPN) Campus is located in Grenoble in South East France, about 3 hours by high-speed (TGV) train from Paris, 2 hours by bus from Geneva, and 1 hour by high-speed train from Lyon.

Tram line 'B' :
- serves Grenoble town center, including the bus and railway station. It allows easy access (even at night) from Grenoble town center to the ESRF.
- its terminus - 'Oxford' - is situated just 350 metres from the site entrance.

Site Access and Badges
Access to EPN Campus site (map)
The site is a restricted area and you will be asked to report in at the site entrance on arrival. You will need to produce proof of identification (valid passport, ID card or driver's licence ONLY) to enter.
You will be given a site entrance badge which you must present each time you wish to enter on site.
Please wear this badge on site over the whole period of the event.
Registration will take place in the LOB cafeteria, next to the ESRF Visitor Center. You will also be given a workshop badge.
Accommodation & Catering
Hotels
Participants are expected to make their own accommodation arrangements.
A list of hotels is available here. These are hotels with whom the ESRF is accustomed to work, conveniently located in the center of Grenoble, near bus and tram stops or near the train station. The ESRF benefits from special room rates in some of them (please mention the ESRF or CEA negotiated rates when making your booking).
Meals / Social events
Lunches will be held at the EPN campus restaurant in the Guest dining room.
The workshop dinner will take place on Monday, 2nd October at 'Bouillon A' restaurant, located at 5 place Nelson Mandela, Grenoble.
Wifi connection on EPN Campus
You will be given a personal WiFi network connection for use during your stay on the EPN Campus.
WiFi connection is also available via the Eduroam network. The ESRF, ILL and IBS are eduroam-compliant: users who have a valid account in another eduroam compliant institution can use this network.

Walking - SIPAVAG is an organisation which manages marked footpaths / hiking trails in the Grenoble area. You can catch a bus or tram to the start of all the marked paths.

Shops and services
