JK thin lens model of cross talks of PETRAIV up to 20% betabeating, with optics matching restored. quadrupole gradient in dipole may not change anymore. 1-2% for gradient errors, randomly chosen systematic for each cell.

BV report on badger optimizations at PETRA-III
optimize (minimize) lifetimem using diffrernt groups of skew quadrupoles. used byesian optimization. also tested simplex algorithm.
better comparison to be planned among the algorithms
presentation of report.

S.L. presentation on badger @ESRF
N.C. suggest to use more measurement average (4 averages instead of 2 for example)

plan of next MDTs
26 april
4th june

MDT in petraIII for TbT optics measurement. LM. preparation ongoing, will have 7.5h available. Target: correct optics based on TbT data.
I.A. measure and cross check with standard correction.
J.K. could run a short RM in 30min.
L.M. ok, if short.
L.M. in between BPM used for phase advance no optics error. code being updated to consider systematic optics distortions. errors are expected from the region outside the
S.W. suggest to use phase advance. model dependence only due to location of AC dipole
L.M. there is also an assumption of Transfer Matrix between BPMs.
S.W. phase relates directly to optics. Could directly correct phase rather than beta correction. discarding additional systematic error to go from phase to beta.
L.M. agrees to use phase as observable.

(look at dispersion, optics, emittances, I.E. L.T. for optics comparison)

N.C. no major prgress on simulations

L.M. status of pySC shows presentation
repository made public.
latest updates: automated documentation using sphinx. doc just needs to be written.
can be installed with pip
debug and basic tests set up
doc to be written
code climate set up

SL started to convert SClatticePlot

LM pySC threading working on basic example

IA parallelization of DA and lifetime?
SW DA and lifetime are parallelized on single machine. no mpi yet.

IA is this code available and documented in pyAT
SW yes. use_mp flag

IA what kind of grids are availalbe?
SW grid, radial, recursive. recursive is less parallelized, only directions.
IA same for MA?
SW yes, lifetime as well, parallelized on locations.
IA how much speed-up?
SW linear for tracking.

IA Can pyAT file be saved in readable format, like madx?
SL/SW there is a conversion to text in matlab. may be also in pyAT.

ipac paper
SL commissioning simulations
BV will circulate paper soon
