New advances in Fragment Screening, AI and Cryo-EM are rapidly transforming the field of structure-based drug discovery. EMBL, ESRF and Instruct-ERIC with sponsorship from the EC-funded Fragment Screen project (GA-ID: 101094131) are organising a workshop on Advances in Fragment Screening and Structure-Based Drug Discovery on January 28th and 29th, 2027 at the EPN Campus in Grenoble, France.
Marking the end of the EC-funded Fragment-Screen project, focusing on technology development for fragment screening and drug discovery, the EMBL and ESRF Joint Structural Biology and Imaging Group (JSBIG) and the Fragment-Screen consortium will host a 1.5-day symposium.
This workshop will convene representatives from academia, industry and facilities across Europe and beyond to discuss recent advances in structure-based drug design. Topics will include new technologies X-ray and NMR-based fragment screening, AI and Cryo-EM in drug design among others, as well as access opportunities at academic facilities.
