WP01 

Purchases ok

 

WP02 

Screen monitors. Discussion with DESY. 

2 screens at end of TL2

 

WP03

Started vacuum simulations for the cavity. 

Cryomodule rather difficult.

Chamber would be simpler if as in-vaccum devices

 

Pumping from waveguides most relevant.pumping from sides (iris) 

 

Next Step: Add pumps to drawing

 

2nd cryomodule: as close as cryoinvacuum. Simple and work well. 

 

 

WP04 

 

First sketch for RF waveguides.

Rough mechanical drawings (to send today or tomorrow) to P.Berkvens for Safety simulations.

 

Full installation will move toward entrance door (further away from present linac)

 

Discussion with BIG to define LN2 distribution and water cooling. 

 

 

WP05 

No update

 

 

WP06 

Every WP check request for ELECTRICAL cubicles. 

Think about power for each cubicle

Kind of cable needed to be installed by BIG. Start list on Excel document

Cables will be on the same Database as EBS. COLD project cables naming managed by BIG. 

Need to calculate electrical power needed. If above 3000W signal to electrical unit to specify specific PS. 

If doubts on numbers of cubicles. 

RF group cubicles for LLRF still doubt. To be checked after LLRF quotation

 

 

WP07

No much progress

 

Progress with control of scandinova modulator . Works well. Still missing diagnostics such as waveforms to be reported in tango devices. 

Not easy support from scandinova.

 

PB: technicain from Scandinova on site to debug modulator.

 

 

WP08 

 

No update

 

 

WP09

 

Calculations still on-going. 

 

PSS found solution.

Switch from primary doors LB1 - to fence. Prevent switching off rips. 

People will enter first part of linac without impact on accelerator. 

Will implement during October SD. Ready for January restart for conditioning of RI accelerating structures. 

 

 

WP 10

PSG will buy 4 new PS for Quadrupole magnets. Will use spare part PS for the corrector and dipole magnet.

 

 

WP11

 

Cathode alignment angles are relevant issue. 

Cathode is flat or rounded? 

 

 

 

Shutdown activities

 

Crane during USM. Is OK.

PSS will be modified?

Removal of Faraday Cage beginning of November

Safety corridor on faraday cage side

 

G.Chazot working on a work permit JLogbook. Every one that has works to do on Linac upgrade, cold, or booster:—> fill JLOGBOOK work permit. Stating specificity of the work. 

 

I.Leconte will centralize all activities.

 

 

QQ: move to TDR. Try to get by next Spring (2027). 

JLR: could add Phase 2 and 3.

 

QQ: let’s wait for SAC and council to see overall LTSP
