How to reach Grenoble and the ESRF on the EPN site

Tram line "B" serves downtown Grenoble, including the bus and railway station. It allows easy access (even at night) from downtown Grenoble to the ESRF. Its terminus - 'Oxford' - is situated just 350 metres from the site entrance.
From the railway station to the ESRF/ILL campus:
Take tramway B direction "Oxford". Get off at "Oxford". Then please see the EPN Campus access map to get to the site entrance.
NB. Due to construction works, Oxford Bridge leading into the EPN Campus will be closed to traffic.If you're planning to drive to the ESRF or are taking a bus from Lyon airport into Grenoble, please bear the following information in mind:
- If travelling by bus, we advise you to book your trip to Grenoble Station if you're arriving late or departing early. You will then need to take tram B to the end of the line and get off at "Oxford".
- If travelling by car and arriving late or departing early, please check alternative routes
Don't forget your identity card or passport which will be requested at the site entrance. You will not be able to access the site without a valid ID.
