The European Photon and Neutron (EPN) Campus is located in Grenoble in South East France, about 3 hours by high-speed (TGV) train from Paris, 2 hours by bus from Geneva, and 1 hour by high-speed train from Lyon.

Regular participants should make their own travel arrangements to and from Grenoble and cover their travel expenses.

Tram line 'B':
- serves Grenoble town centre, including the bus and railway station. It allows easy access (even at night) from Grenoble town centre to the ESRF.
- its terminus - 'Oxford' - is situated just 350 metres from the site entrance.

Site Access and Badges
Access to EPN Campus site (map)
The EPN site is a restricted area and you will be asked to report in at the site entrance on arrival. You will need to produce proof of identification (valid passport, ID card or driver's licence ONLY) to enter.
You will be given a site entrance badge which you must present each time you wish to enter on site. Please wear this badge on site over the whole period of the event.
Registration will take place in the main entrance of the ESRF Central Building, on the ground floor. You will also be given a workshop badge.
Accommodation & Catering
Guest House/Hotels
A limited number of single rooms has been reserved at the on-site Guest House for participants from 18 to 20 March (2 nights). A third night's accommodation may be available on request. Requests for accommodation should be made via the Registration form. Rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served basis:
- Participants who cannot be accommodated in the Guest House will be informed so that they can make their own bookings,
- The cost of participants' stay at the Guest House will remain at their charge,
- The price for one night per person - breakfast included - will be:
- 56,42 Euros (for a single room)
- 3.60 euros per person for breakfast tax included.
Please note that for security reasons, the Guest House is not available for accompanying persons.

Monday to Friday: 7h00 - 20h00 / Weekends & public holidays: 7h00 - 12h00
Participants who arrive outside opening hours will be able to pick up their room key at the main site entrance.
Accommodation in Hotels
Participants who cannot be accommodated in the Guest House or who wish to stay in hotels in Grenoble town center, are expected to make their OWN BOOKINGS.
A list of hotels is available here. These are hotels with whom the ESRF is accustomed to work, conveniently located in the center of Grenoble, near bus and tram stops or near the train station. The ESRF benefits from special room rates in some of them (please mention the ESRF or CEA negotiated rates when making your booking).
Meals / Social events
A welcome cheese and wine will be held in the ESRF Central Building from 18.00 on Monday, 18 March.
Lunch on Tuesday, 19 March will be held in the Guest dining room of the onsite restaurant. A takeaway lunch bag will be provided on Wednesday, 20 March (if ordered in the registration application).
The workshop dinner will take place at 'Chez Marius' restaurant, 1 Place Notre Dame, 38000 Grenoble on Tuesday, 20 March at 19.30.

Shops and services
Shops, banks and postal services can be found in Grenoble town centre. Please note that banks are closed on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and Mondays.
