      • 09:00 Calypsoplus - Overview 20'
        CALIPSOplus brings together 22 synchrotrons and FELs in Europe, including the European XFEL as well as
        the synchrotron SESAME in Jordan, in order to enable all European researchers from academia and industry to benefit from access to world class light sources. This talk will give an overview of the proposal, the timeline and introduce JRA2 work package dedicated to Data Analysis as a Service.

        As part of the Calypsoplus project the Umbrella authentication systemwill be extended to fully support different non-web-based authentication mechanisms to be able to service a broader range of facilities (eduGain + JISC Assent) with differing needs and capabilities. This talk will present the current state of Umbrella and the extension.

        ESRF will present their experience using GPUs on AWS, XSOCS a nanostrain analysis package which is a candidate for DAAS, a vision for using public clouds like AWS, their involvement in HNSciCloud.
