This workshop builds on the success of the two previous HDF5 workshops at ICALEPCS 2015 and 2017. The goal of the full day Workshop is to bring together members of the ICALEPCS HDF5 and h5py community to discuss and influence HDF5 and h5py roadmaps, to share HDF5 and h5py success stories, challenges, and concerns with like-minded audience.

The HDF Group will present HDF5 Python tutorials based on Jupyter Notebooks and Cloud solutions. The tutorials will include HDF5 and h5py basic and advanced features. Tutorials will be followed by the presentations and discussions of recent developments in HDF5 and h5py and the experiences and plans of different sites, using the HDF5-based software to record, store and distribute data and associated metadata along with the new emerging requirements for HDF5.

To get the most out of the tutorials, participants bring their own laptop with a modern browser installed.
