update From Tom Minniberg: It is not a problem if also participants from UK, US, China, India, Switzerland, Corea, etc. will participate in the workshop. I suppose that you would like to exchange ideas, information and different accelerator tools with the colleagues from UK, US, China, India, Switzerland, Corea, etc., correct? For EURIZON you will claim only costs for organizing the workshop (catering, room rent, technique, etc.). You are not going to invite the colleagues and you are not going to pay their travel expenses, right? So I don’t see any conflict that the colleagues from UK, US, China, India, Switzerland, Corea, etc. will participate. Please be careful that you don’t provide confidential project information within this workshop. Within WP4 you have also some Deliverables with confidential contend. From Martin Sandhop: some additional advice: If the scientists from those countries are expected to be invited plus reimbursed (travel…), in that case we need to collect the OK by PO (Commission) that they are “external experts”, and should provide the information why their input or contribution would be so relevant (for fulfilling the WP4-task …). And: Please take care of Chinese plus US experts at the same workshop. Due to much increased political sensitivity with China it sometimes happens that US scientists (for instance from DOE labs) would have to draw back their participation for reasons that Chinese scientists from specific labs are around. Maybe you double check beforehand. In Germany and EU, such sensitivity has also risen, but not so dramatically as in case of US. But some labs (e.g. of CAEPS academy, or specific universities), collaborations/ joint publications should be really checked critically beforehand. Please have a close look at the Chinese colleagues to be invited… possible survey to be sent to participants (please give feedback for any modification): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfWB7nmvHVXZWcaKfIDg11RrzKWa2vv4ztSFwQiaEKOO3O5EA/viewform?usp=sf_link
