1) Progress for the ASNR preparation: 

• Paul is working on the layout of the 3D model. It is progressing well. Paul got all the necessary information for the buildings from Thierry, including the booster part
• The new section  do not have the same geometry than section 1 and 2: slightly shorter and no solenoid 
  A study with section 0 replacing section or section 2 should be included in the authorization. Paul needs a drawing of the new section
  Action Pawel to request it from RI : In progress
• This section will be used as spare part. 
  Before the clarification of the objective and planning of COLD, it was envisaged to install cavity 0 in the present linac to have hot spares and larger energy.
  JLR said that it is not in the present plan (TBC by Qing) and that in any-case we cannot get beam with the first section (immediately after the gun) stopped.
  
  After the meeting, a discussion took place between Qing, Jean-Luc, Simon ,Pawel:

It has been confirmed that the present linac will not be extended to 300 MeV for the following reason:

1. There is no major interest for injection into the booster at higher energy
2. It would delay the “autorisation ASNR” request and would require a complete beam‑ and mechanical study to perform the calculations – it’s a new linac.
3. It will be resource consuming in time, money  and space 
4. If we install the three sections, what do we do in case the first section (section 0) fails… we would have no spare.
5. If the Cold program is successful, there is no benefit because we will inject at 325 MeV into the booster and the S‑Band linac would not be used.
6. If the Cold program fails, we can always submit a new request to ASNR in the future.

• In case of exchange of section,  the failed section will be repaired and stored on site (depending of activation).
• The list of spare part should be prepared
• Information given for COLD is sufficient to continue the preparation of the authorization
• The authorization will include the 3 phases up to the injection in the booster
• The new transfer line at higher energy should be studied and included in the study
• The 6 GeV linac will only be mentioned as a motivation

2) Status of the Mod0 declaration:

• Patrick confirmed that the declaration for Mod0 is ready for signature by Jean
  It was decided to include mod S4 for the new gun which is identical to mod 0, and for which the purchase is initiated
  Post meeting: Jean confirmed the signature
• Modulator 0 has passed the SAT, some work is still to be done, the modulator should be ready for power in March
  ==> the modulator cannot be used on dummy or connected to a section until the declaration is accepted
  6 months max, if no more information requested

3) Status of the safety part of the CDR: 

• Simone, Jean-Luc and Benoit have already put some information in the CDR for the safety part
• Paul and Patrick will correct and complement it 
• the 6 GeV could be presented in the CDR independently of the ASNR authorization

4) Linac partition Door: 

• Patrick confirmed the cabling of the door during winter shutdown and its connection to the PSS system. 
• The first part of the Linac will be accessible in control access between injections
• The procedure will be communicate by Patrick 
• Section 0 will be installed in the tunnel during March shutdown 

5) Preparation of meeting with SLAC on pressure safety 

•  Noting to mention, it is conventional safety
• The system should be CE certified , nothing special if pressure < 0.5 bar

6) Machine and safety COLD interlock meeting on 21 January

• A meeting will take place on 21 January to define what is relevant to machine interlock system and to PSS.

7) AOB 

    Beam dump

• Can  the Faraday cup be considered as a beam dump?
  Photons and neutron should be shielded
  It depends of the design of this diagnostics
  the Faraday cup should be optimized for that (carbon material is best) 
  Friederike to be invited next meeting
• The beam dump will be design for max energy and beam will go down
