Notes:
WP01 RF (ADE)
consultation for waveguide/load prices
SLAC started to draw some wave guide components that could be part of the installation
Paper LCWS submitted
CFT 3690 x C-band RF-unit: TB1 done.
COD LLRF interview today.
WP02 diag (absent)
WP03 vacuum (HPM)
WP04 mech engineering (TB)
drawings updated with:
- path of LN2 inlet going on the exterior wall
- phase separators
- exhaust for LN2 (to be finalized)
- moved RF-units
- 1m limit stay clear for safety
- grounding locations (for drilling in summer shutdown 2026)
- (next week CRANES)
YG: will need to add SRE installation
ADE: need to consider space for waveguides supports and sliding/installation
PB: make sure that is possible to slide waveguides and move them around
ADE: BOC support will have to be redesigned (at PSI it is installed differently)
PB: could bend the waveguides in the tunnel rather than in the modulator hall. This allows to accomodate changes of position of the gun (see later, WP11)
ADE: could also swap holes
TB: outlet hole to be defined. Could use existing one (above Laser room). TBD
PB: modulator positions are fixed
IL: storage of material will be evacuated at the start of the SD
YG: meeting with TB, FFavier, Alvaro, Jean-Marc needed. (ACTION)
TB: wall on both sides will be full with equipments
WP 05 infrastructure (YG)
works scheduled for summer SD and October SD. holes in the floor for earthing _ holes in tunnel wall
FFavier is now focussed on SRE temporary installation. The final part of the installation will be definitive, only the water inlet will change once SRE extension is available (still under study)
ADE: FFavier prepared a clever solution to allow SAT (temporary) and be ready for final SRE circuit connection.
For LN2 will discuss further with PColmp and FFavier to give relevant data to safety.
PB: order for civil works is started? YG: YES
PB: a folder for MEMOs would be useful. This way in the future we can simply copy and edit previous ones.
ADE: link to drawings also would be needed.
SL: will look for a solution considering that Confluence is being discarded (ACTION)
WP06 Operation (BJ)
Storage of raw material will be removed. PIC maintenance company order passed yesterday.
please make sure no other activities at the same time, as they need space to move.
YG: will need to open door.
IL: this happens 28th July morning, before removal of raw material storage
Faraday cage will not be removed this time. Company Caratelli will likely do the job and make sure it can be reinstalled if needed.
10 cubicles presently considered . 3k for each cubicle. 80x80, with 60x60 internal space and extra space for cable routing and ventilation
PB: need to thermalize C-band?
BJ: no RF request for cubicles yet. ADE: waiting for LLRF engineer, but will provide numbers asking PSI
YG: consider simple racks. more complex will be less reliable
BJ: will consider 10 cubicles, not all full
WP 07 control (RB)
YG: for control network is sufficient for all units? May need additional cable?
RB: in contact with network people, but may be necessary to make the issue more clear to them.
MD: could be that +1 cubicle is needed for network
PB: also need to keep separated the operation network and the COLD project network. Existing fibers may have limited capacity
YG: if new fiber needed, could have a non-negligible cost
WP 08 alignment (CGT)
HLS installed and taking data
WP09 Safety (PC)
computations of O2 levels in the linac tunnel in the case of a complete LN2 leak from the cryomodule. 95% of air is reused, only 5% new air. in few seconds no more oxygen.
need to talk to BIG for more detailed calculations for 350MeV and also for 6GeV installation
JLR: local strong extraction system could be put in place.
YG: possible, not easy.
PC: it is a real issue to be solved.
PC: will share slide on the computations (ACTION)
PC: ASNR meting 12th May. Need to modify authorization. normally we should be in time.
PSS ok. once RF-units installed will finalize
QQ: machine protection is also in place?
PC: (missing notes on the reply)
WP10 Magnets (CB)
data sent to PS group to define PS.
WP11 beam dynamics (SL)
shows slides about simulations. All international collaborators involved to define the correct simulations parameters.
WP12 timing (no one)
Shutdown activities (IL)
slides presentation
main issue are the noisy works to create the manholes. identified dats to be compatible with other activities (MD team)
28th August concrete doors opening
manholes construction will take 2.5 days
will need PSS keys and correct state of RIPS. meeting PC, IL MD to sort this.
meeting ended for TIMEOUT (next meeting knocked at the door)
